SAFplus was engineered with scalabilty in mind. Its modular architecture enables scaling out to hundreds of compute instances all with low latency.
In order to scale to support the largest carrier networks, Ericsson-LG built their Mobility Management Entity (MME) control node using the SAFplus platform. OpenClovis’ solution enables Ericsson-LG to deploy up to four racks of MME chassis all acting as a single, tightly coupled, low latency cluster.
